Setting options of TVapex Broadcaster on your smartphone:

Tips to Setting up for Streaming:

1. To prioritize Bandwidth usage, press a value for bandwidth and 0 for quality. TVapex Broadcaster transmits video at the highest quality possible within the specified bandwidth. If necessary, OS Broadcaster reduces picture quality to avoid exceeding the specified bandwidth. In general, as motion increases, quality decreases.

2. To prioritize Quality deliverance, pass 0 for bandwidth and a numeric value for quality. TVapex Broadcaster uses as much bandwidth as required to maintain the specified quality. If necessary, it will reduce the frame rate to maintain picture quality. In general, as motion increases, bandwidth use also increases.

3. To give equal priority to Bandwidth and Quality, pass numeric values for both parameters. TVapex Broadcaster transmits video that achieves the specified quality and that doesnt exceed the specified bandwidth. If necessary, it reduces the frame rate to maintain picture quality without exceeding the specified bandwidth.

Default settings will be suitable for most streaming situations:
Video configurations: Select Camera (Front/back), Select Frame width/height, FPS, Keyframe frequency, Quality
Audio configurations: Select to Mute, Choose Audio Codec, Quality, Gain
Setting up the Stream: Enter Stream ID, Choose Publish Setting (Live, Record, Append), Select Bandwidth (Dynamic or choose)
Settings: Select Camera or Microphone to Monitor, Select Save Last Settings, Logs

Technical definition:
Live RTMP audio/video streaming to Flash Media Servers (Adobe Flash Media Server, Wowza, EvoStream, C++ RTMP Server, Red5, NGINX-RTMP-Module etc.).
Supported Video codec: Sorenson Spark (H.263)
Supported Audio codec: Speex, NellyMoser

Planned updates:
Support for H.264 and AAC codecs is being planned at present since these codecs are not supported by Adobe AIR. Solution for streaming in these codes to any screen is re-encoding the stream on the server side to the required format (with e.g. FFmpeg, Nginx-rtmp-module, Evostream).

At present, Live Audio-Video Broadcasting to all platforms is fully operational except to handheld devices and YouTube.
